Les Williams Les was raised in Llandab cottages Trimsaran and played for Trimsaran youth before joining the Royal Navy in the 1940's. His first game for Llanelli was against New Zealand in 1945, during that season he also played against the same opposition for Wales,Combined Services and the Royal Navy. He had a total of 5 International caps for Wales in Rugby Union and also had 15 International caps for Wales in Rugby League.

Derek Leslie Quinell Derek was raised in Garden Suburbs, Trimsaran, and joined Llanelli youth in 1964 and continued to play for the Scarlets for 18 years, during which he played 366 premier games, scored 44 tries and captained the club. Derek won his first cap for Wales as a replacement against France in Cardiff and went on to gain a total of 24 caps and score 1 try. Derek also played for and captained the Barbarians, and went on 3 British Lions tours, he is the only British player ever to have played in 4 winning teams against New Zealand. Twice for the Lions in 1971 & 1977 and for Llanelli and the Barbarians in !972 & 1973.

Jonathan Davies Jonathan was also raised in Garden Suburbs, Trimsaran, he played for and captained Trimsaran Youth, Trimsaran 1st, Welsh Districts, Neath and Llanelli rugby clubs. Jonathan won 33 caps for Wales in Rugby Union, 13 caps for Wales in Rugby League and 13 caps for Great Britain. He was Rugby World Player of the Year in 1987 & 1998 and Player of the Year in rugby league in1991 & 1993, he was also awarded the "Man of Steel" award in rugby league Jonathan captained both the Welsh and Great Britain rugby league teams, the only player to captain both Welsh rugby union and rugby league International Matches. |

Nigel Davies Nigel was born and brought up in Maes y Ffynnon, Waun y Clun, Trimsaran where is parents still live, Nigel played for Trimsaran Youth and when in his final year, was selected by Llanelli to play for them in a friendly match, which was the beginning of his long career with them. Nigel played 360 games for Llanelli and has played in a record 8 cup finals, winning 5. Nigel was part of the famous 1993 squad when Llaneli won the league & cup double ( the only team to achieve this ) and also beat Australia. He won 29 caps for Wales and also captained them. |

Garan Evans Garan was brought up in Garden Suburbs,
Trimsaran, Garan has won 4 caps for Wales so far.

Carl Bridgewater Carl was born in Dudley, Birmingham and raised in Trimsaran, he has played for Trimsaran Youth, Trimsaran 1st & 2nd XV, and 74 times for Neath RFC including the 1984 Cup Final. In 1980 he won a Wales Schools u19s International cap, and in season 1981/82 won a Welsh Districts Rugby Union International cap. Carl captained Trimsaran in 1989/90 and 1996/7 and was Player of the Year in 1982 and 1992. Carl's claim to fame is that he played inside centre next to Jonathan Davies for Trimsaran Junior School, Gwendraeth Grammar School, Trimsaran Youth, Trimsaran 1st XV and Neath RFC. Carl still plays for Trimsaran RFC 1st XV.
